Getting Rid Of Body Acne

By Lucy Collins

Do you have body acne? Finding the right treatment to clear it up right away is easier than you think.

Acne does not just occur on the face; many people in fact, suffer from body acne, which is acne that is spread to your body. We as human beings are covered with pores, and when those pores on our body become enlarged, body acne can occur. That is why, if you are suffering from body acne, you need to get out there and find the right body acne treatment for you!

As you probably know, that the skin around your body is a lot tougher than the skin on your face, so in order to find the right body acne treatment, you are going to need something a little bit stronger, than you average cleansing soap. Sometimes, you might not even need soap or a lotion, just a change in your fabrics or the deodorant you might be using.

Wearing a lot of tight clothing that is constricting to the skin can cause body acne in some cases, so rid yourself of clothing that can't breathe properly. Wear clothes that are made of natural fibers as well, because they breathe the best and can keep your skin moist.

As most sufferers know, exercise is a great tool against your fight with acne but if you find you are having frequent outbreaks, it is more than likely due to the increased amount of sweat resulting from the exercise. To combat this, be sure to shower immediately after each exercise session as this will effectively prevent the sweat and body oil from going into your pores.

If the problem is really persistent, it may be necessary to discuss it with a dermatologist in order to get some recommendations as far as acne sprays are concerned. Alternatively, most drugstores will stock a wide variety so a trip to your local store may be all that is needed. An added advantage of these sprays is than most come in dispensers which make it possible to spray all those areas which are difficult to reach.

If your acne persists, many people turn to topical creams that are applied once or twice daily to treat their body acne. Antibiotic creams for treating body acne can work very well and they have very few side effects if used as recommended. Don't be afraid to try a few over-the-counter from the drugstore.

I'm afraid to say, if you're one of the unfortunate few which have not achieved satisfactory results from any of the preliminary measures I mentioned here then you should consider consulting a doctor or dermatologist. They can in turn give you an examination and then prescribe some form of stronger prescription medication.

The right body acne treatment is out there, as long as you know what you need and what you are looking for. These treatments range in price as well as effectiveness, and not every treatment is going to work for you, it is simply about figuring out which treatment is going to work, so just test them out!
